Holiday Apartment in Bad Urach
Kiwi Retreat is a spacious flat with two bedrooms sleeping up to six adults. Its secluded location is nestled in a valley on the outskirts of Bad Urach in the Swabian Alb Biosphere area, and next to the event location Künkele Kunstmühle.
Kiwi Retreat is surrounded nature, located in a huge garden with the Erms River running behind the property. The New Zealand themed rooms together with mostly solid wood furniture give the flat a very natural feel. Supermarkets, shops and bakeries are located between Kiwi Retreat and the historic town centre. Bad Urach is a spa town with many attractions, e.g. the Urach Waterfall, thermal baths, a 50m outdoor swimming pool with stunning views, a Kneipp pool, and some of Germany’s most beautiful hiking paths.
Outdoor attractions/activities include: waterfalls (Uracher & Gütersteiner); caving (Falkensteiner Höhle), climbing (Geschlitzer Fels), canoeing (Danube), and hiking and biking from our doorstep (Hohen Wittlingen, Wolfsschlucht, Höllenlöcher, Hohen Urach).
The area offers many gastronomic delights. Bad Urach train station and tourist information centre are 1.7km away, a bus stop is 200m away, while it is 37km to Stuttgart airport. There is plenty of off-street parking available.
The retreat allows relaxing in nature – ideal for families or as a work space for writing, with a bathroom (bathtub, shower) and kitchen (stove & oven, no dishwasher). The large loungeroom opens onto a spacious covered balcony, with views and bird song. While there is wifi, there is no TV – time to unplug for a while and reconnect with oneself and nature, and indulge in wellness offers of the region!
